To attend a class, contact Bethany to RSVP for a particular class or workshop or to get on her “classes” email list to be notified of weekly classes.
Bethany also periodically teaches workshops in the DC and Shenandoah Valley Area. Below is a review of one of her workshops:
My daughter and I had the pleasure of attending a lovely, day-long stone carving workshop that Bethany Lee organized and taught. In the weeks leading up to the workshop, Bethany reached out to allow participants to share any particular interests they had pertaining to stone carving, and she was so thoughtful in providing resources before and after, and remembering and responding to the particular interests of her participants. The day of the workshop, she presented with a highly organized physical space and instructional style. As a complete novice, I felt that I was given the information and instruction I needed to enter into the practice of stone carving and explore the many techniques Bethany presented to us. Her pacing of the workshop was impeccable, with instruction and demonstration followed periods of practice, and Bethany was careful to give participants ample opportunities for rest, when needed, so that the day which was filled with new and challenging physical activity never felt overwhelming or exhausting, but stimulating and active with moments for rest and reflection. My personal goal for participation in the workshop was to be able to more fully appreciate works of carving that I am able to observe on historical structures, and I certainly will have a much fuller capacity for that endeavor as a result of Bethany’s instruction. Thank you, Bethany, for a lovely workshop! – Sarah J
